The customer, a leading soap and detergent manufacturing unit based in northern part of India, had issues in maintaining consistency in their soap production process, while adding the anti-microbial agents – silver oxide and copolymers. These ingredients were manually added in the process, which required additional manpower, storage space and had challenges in maintaining a hygienic workspace.
After analysing the process and dosing requirements, Grundfos sales team recommended Dosing tank system (DTS) with SMART DDA – FCM Digital Dosing pump.
The Flow Control Measurement (FCM) and AutoFlowAdapt feature ensures that exact volume of chemical is dosed with 100% accuracy irrespective of temperature and density variation. Pressure monitoring and auto deaeration prevents any potential pipe bursts or cavitation.
Grundfos Dosing tank system (DTS) with SMART DDA – FCM Digital Dosing pump, with its data communication features, provided process insights to the customer. The customer could adjust the operating parameters over SCADA network in their plant.
This compact DTS system significantly reduced the footprint, improved dosing accuracy and completely avoided manual intervention.
