THE SITUATION:
Aeroponics – a process of growing plants with a nutrient-laden mist leaving the roots to suspended in the air, where they are periodically puffed by specially designed misting systems.
THE SOLUTION:
Since the application demanded a high number of starts & stops within an hour, it is imperative to go for a variable speed-based pumping system that would ensure controlled misting of plant roots with nutrient water. Since there was a space constraint at the site, a pump with integrated controls was recommended.
THE OUTCOME:
Grundfos CMBE twin was the ideal choice for the given hydraulic duty with its in-built smart control features. Misting of aeroponics set up at this farm is controlled to perfection with Grundfos CMBE’s in-built functionalities thereby eliminating customer’s external controls and solenoid valves for this application.
